The Duck Gallery was established in 2024 with the vision of showcasing the incredible talent of the local artists of the Outer Banks of North Carolina and beyond. The Duck Gallery is nestled in the charming seaside town of Duck in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, an area rich in creativity, tradition and culture. The Duck Gallery features a curated collection of local art, paintings, drawings, sculptures and a small selection of handcrafted jewelry.
Liz McBain, Founder
Liz McBain was raised in Raleigh, NC. With a lifelong passion for art, she began painting and drawing at a very young age. After studying at Savannah College of Art & Design and North Carolina State University, she settled down with her husband, Jamie, and continues to raise their three children. Liz and Jamie also own Tar Heel Trading Company, an American handcraft gallery, in Duck. Liz is passionate about cultivating a space that showcases the expansive talent of local artists, and establishing a destination for seasoned collectors and new buyers alike. Liz resides in Southern Shores, NC.
